) contains an invalid character' Final Draft points the finger at Microsoft and Microsoft dances around the resolution. I see tons of programs for sale that claim to fix it.
I've purchased a new HP and when installing the software from the old system I get 'Error 1324. The folder path '?WINDOWS' contains an invalid character' while installing office and intuit QB.Intuit spent 3 hrs trying and was unsuccessful. I myself have tried for 3 days now with no success either. Ran all of the test and repairs and modified the registry as directed with still no success.I even believed it was an issue with windows installer but everything else installs completely with no errors.
